We have seen some amazing photography in 2016, but we still can't get over our collective fascination with the unique angles and scenes captured using consumer-level drone equipment -- and the democratization of aerial photography has given birth to robust photo sharing sites like Dronestagram.
The social hub for drone photography and video, picked their 20 favorite images from 2016, bringing us some of the most spectacular drone photography made this year.
Many of the images came from an annual contest which was run in partnership with National Geographic.
